[A few seconds long video of a short, scruffy, angry, Scottish man, half turned away from the camera, furiously talking at a table of food and drink, next to a large and luminous pool.

The clip begins midway through a sentence: "-ities, it had to be the same brane as fucking Jackson." The sounds of the pool and background chatter makes the words a little hard to pick out, but still distinguishable enough to be understood.]

why is there a pool

i'm at a pool party, i dont see why this is hard to imagine.

[Seth is at a party? He's always been fairly closed off, and not exactly highly sociable. But Daniel is going to keep that to himself, at least for now.]

he was really the main event. impressivly for a pool party, as neither of us have gone near the pool.

handy the next time the rift tries to drown us? i would not put it past it to try again.

[He's not answering yes or no because he can't decide if that's something he'd actually want. Yeah it might be handy and Daniel would probably be a good teacher, but Seth doesn't want to embarrass himself in trying and failing. And also, mental images of Daniel in nothing but shorts are currently very persistent.]
